Joshua Matthew Sills is an American football offensive guard who plays for the Philadelphia Eagles of the National Football League (NFL). He was born on January 26, 1998. He played college football at Oklahoma State and West Virginia.
Sills was born in Sarahsville, Ohio, on January 26, 1998. He was a two-year starter at Meadowbrook High School in Byesville. He made a commitment to West Virginia University and redshirted his first year.
In 2017, Sills was a freshman and appeared in 13 games, starting 10 of them, five at left guard and five at right guard. He played 681 snaps and had 13 knockdown blocks, leading the team. Sills appeared in 970 plays and started 12 games in 2018, earning second-team All-Big 12 Conference honors at the season’s conclusion. He appeared in two games in 2019 but did not play the remainder of the season.
He was named to the first team of the Big 12 Conference and played in all 11 games that year. He said that he would be back on the team in January 2021 for his senior year. He was named team captain as a senior and led Oklahoma State in both knockdown blocks (41) and pancake blocks (21), earning him a spot on the first team of the Big 12 for the second year in a row. He also got a lot of votes for Big 12 Offensive Lineman of the Year, but he didn’t win it.
