Arnold Schwarzenegger and Maria Shriver have been apart for more than a decade, but their divorce is only now becoming final, according to several sources.

The couple divorced in May 2011 and two months later, Shriver filed for divorce.

They married in 1986 after being introduced at a charity event by journalist Tom Broka.

Katherine Schwarzenegger, who is married to actor Chris Pratt, is one of Schwarzenegger and Shriver’s four adult children. His tenure as governor of California, from 2003 to 2011, was included in their marriage.

According to TMZ, a judge who helped negotiate the divorce “signed off on a divorce earlier this month,” but it wasn’t until Tuesday that the requisite sitting judge made it official by entering it into the court system.

The stumbling block, it appears, was “a very convoluted property settlement arrangement.”

Although she wasn’t in dire financial straits before her divorce from Arnold Schwarzenegger will make her wealthier than ever.

According to two renowned divorce attorneys, the disgruntled wife will most certainly get at least $100 million because she gave up her job for Arnold and stayed with him for so long.

In the decade after the separation, the actor-turned-politician has worked on films such as The Expendables 3 and Terminator Genisys.
