The pair only had one bogey between them on the first day of action at Mount Juliet Estate, where they are competing alongside Shane Lowry, Padraig Harrington, and Tyrell Hatton.
Law had a flawless front nine, beginning the day with back-to-back birdies on the first two holes. The 31-year-old went on to make two birdies on holes five and seven.
The back nine was also fruitful for the Scot, who recorded two birdies on the par-five 10th and 17th holes. Law, on the other hand, will have been disappointed to have missed a shot on the 18th hole.
