How Messi reacted to Pele’s death

The football world is in mourning following the death of Brazilian icon Pele.

One of the only men to win the World Cup three times, Pele sadly passed away on Thursday after a brave battle with cancer, aged 82.

A post on his official Instagram account broke the sad news, writing: “Inspiration and love marked the journey of King Pelé, who peacefully passed away today.

“On his journey, Edson enchanted the world with his genius in sport, stopped a war, carried out social works all over the world, and spread what he most believed to be the cure for all our problems: love.
