According to Thomassen, the suspect, a 22-year-old guy with a history of mental health concerns, was apprehended at the site. On Monday, the guy was scheduled to appear in a Danish court on preliminary murder accusations.
The fatal shooting is still being investigated. While no motivation was given, Thomassen stated that the victims appeared to have been chosen at random.

Authorities reported at least three people were murdered and four others were badly injured in a shooting at a Copenhagen shopping center on Sunday.
Just before 5:30 p.m. local time on Sunday, police reacted to reports of a gunshot at the Field’s retail complex in Denmark’s capital.
According to Copenhagen chief police inspector Sren Thomassen, a 17-year-old Danish boy and girl, as well as a 47-year-old Russian man, were slain when a shooter opened fire there.
