Tommy Lee Jones was born on September 15, 1946. He is a film director and actor from the United States. He was nominated for four Academy Awards, including Best Supporting Actor for his role as US Marshal Samuel Gerard in the 1993 thriller The Fugitive.

In his early days, Tommy Lee Jones studied at Harvard, where he lived with future Vice President Al Gore’s roommate Bob Somerby. His senior thesis was on “the mechanics of Catholicism” in Flannery O’Connor’s works. Jones was a pupil of dramatist Robert Chapman.
