Reeva Rebecca Steenkamp (August 19, 1983 – February 14, 2013) was a South African model and paralegal. She modeled for FHM magazine and was the first South African face of Avon cosmetics. Steenkamp previously worked as a live roaming presenter for FashionTV in South Africa and appeared in television commercials for Toyota Land Cruiser, Clover “The One”, Redds, and Aldor Pin Pop. In 2012, she appeared as a celebrity participant on the BBC Lifestyle shows Baking Made Easy, and in February 2013, she appeared on Tropika Island of Treasure season 5, which aired on SABC 3.
Oscar Pistorius, Steenkamp’s boyfriend, shot her dead at his Pretoria home on Valentine’s Day 2013. He claimed that he believed Steenkamp was an intruder lurking in the bathroom.
