Braxton and Scales met through mutual friends on a blind double date. Both had recently ended horrible relationships, and after meeting up with their friends for supper and a movie, they decided to go out on their own and have been together ever since.
How did Trina Braxton meet Von Scales?
Scales traveled from his home in St. Louis to visit Braxton, so their relationship was mostly long-distance.
Scales met Braxton’s family on the show, and they hit it off right away.
He asked both of Braxton’s parents, as well as her two sons, for her hand in marriage.
Scales proposed during a family couple’s trip to Napa Valley after a year and a half of dating, with her sisters cheering her on with the exception of her baby sister Tamar, who was furious that Scales proposed during a trip she said was in honor of her birthday.
Tamar eventually expressed regret to her sister for her actions.
On Sunday, December 15, 2019 Braxton and Scales married at Windows on Washington in Scales’ hometown of St. Louis. She got down with Rolling Out for an exclusive interview to talk about her day.
