While vacationing at the same hotel in Rome in 2015, Serena Williams and Alexis Ohanian got to know one another.
In order to propose to Serena, Alexis took her back to the location of their first encounter in December 2016.
A month later, the couple learned they were expecting a child. On September 1st, 2017, their daughter Alexis Olympia Ohanian Jr. was born.
Serena was taken back to the Cavalieri Hotel by Alexis for the proposal.
There, he prepared a sweet dinner for two, decorated the pool deck with roses, and proposed! Following their engagement, the athlete shared a poem about the proposal on the Reddit thread “I said yes,” which is guaranteed to make you cry.
Soon after their daughter Olympia was born, the couple set up a joint Instagram account for her.
By serving as a bridesmaid in Alexis’ sister Hayley’s wedding, Serena cemented her title as sister-in-law of the year.
Even Alexis participated in the wedding as a groomsman and Olympia served as the flower girl! She was quite serious about being a flower girl, the athlete remarked on Instagram.
