How did Phil Spector shoot Lana Clarkson? The cause of death explained

According to reports, the driver of the limo waited outside for approximately an hour before being startled by the sound of a gunshot. Then he dialed 911. A short while later, Spector allegedly left his residence while claiming to have “just killed someone.”

The Los Angeles police found Lana Clarkson slouched on a chair on the grounds of the home on February 3, 2003. She was killed by a single headshot. According to reports, Spector claimed that she “kissed the pistol” and died as a result, calling her death an “accidental suicide.”

Dr. Louis Pena, a forensic pathologist, disagreed with Spector’s assertions and noted that Clarkson’s tongue was seriously damaged, suggesting that the murder weapon—a gun—was pushed into her mouth with force. The bullets destroyed her front teeth.
