Paul Reubens better known was an American actor, comedian, writer, producer, and children’s entertainer. He was born on August 27, 1952, in Peekskill, New York, U.S. He was mostly referred to as Pee-wee Herman – a name he got from a comic fictional character created and portrayed by him.

He joined the Los Angeles troupe The Groundlings in the 1970s, where he started his career as an improvisational comedian and stage actor. He starred in films and television series during the 1980s.

As a child, he loved to watch reruns of I Love Lucy, which made him want to make people laugh. When he was age 5, he asked his father to build him a stage, where he and his siblings would act out plays.

Paul had faced the law twice in his life. He was first arrested in July 1991, in Sarasota, Florida, for masturbating while watching a film at an adult movie theater. During an unexpected police inspection, a detective detained Reubens, along with three others.

Fast forward to 2002, Reubens turned himself into the Hollywood division of the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) following the search warrant to his home while he was filming David LaChapelle’s video for Elton John’s “This Train Don’t Stop There Anymore.” He was charged with misdemeanor possession of obscene material improperly depicting a child under the age of 18 in sexual conduct.
