Angela Scoular was a British actress and is best known for her appearance in two James Bond movies. She became the second wife of Leslie Phillips when the pair got married in 1982.

Scoular suffered from anorexia nervosa and clinical depression. She reportedly tried to end her life in 1992.
Scoular was also plagued with bowel cancer and bipolar disorder. Her condition was publicly disclosed in March 2009 however she was finally pronounced cancer-free in the preceding months.
In the months leading up to her death, she is said to have felt a recurrence of the condition. She was detained for drunk driving a few weeks later.
She passed away on April 11, 2011, as a result of fatal burns to her skin and intestinal tract after consuming acid drain cleaner.
After her death, more details about her living conditions were revealed, with reports indicating that Scoular had been an alcoholic, suffered from depression, and had a considerable amount of due debt.
Her medical records also revealed she was taking prescription drugs for bipolar illness. Due to her condition, her death was not recorded as a suicide.
