In 2018, Sills started 12 games and appeared in 970 plays, earning second-team All-Big 12 Conference recognition at the season’s conclusion. He made two appearances in 2019, but he did not play the rest of the season.

He participated in all 11 games that year and was selected to the Big 12 Conference’s first team. He stated that he would rejoin the team for his senior year in January 2021. He led Oklahoma State in both pancake blocks (21) and knockdown blocks (41) as a senior, earning him a spot on the Big 12 first team for the second year in a row. Additionally, he received a large number of votes for Big 12 Offensive Lineman of the Year, but he did not win the award.

He is 147 kg (325) in weight. Even though he reportedly ran a 5.25 40 at his Pro Day and was not invited to the combine or the Reeses Senior Bowl, his explosiveness as a run blocker and his massive 6-foot-6, 322-pound frame earned him a sixth-round grade from NFL.com’s Lance Zierlein heading into the pre-draft process.
