According to rumors, Houssem Aouar will be acquired by Nottingham Forest from Lyon.
The freshly promoted team had a busy summer, bringing in up to 14 players in an effort to stay up this season.
The most recent additions to Steve Cooper’s team are Cheikhou Kouyate and Emmanuel Dennis, although they are still striving to expand.
Aouar, 24, is about to leave Lyon after six years of service, according to Sky Sports News, who also claim that Nottingham Forest and Lyon are nearing an agreement to bring Aouar to the English Premier League.
This summer, Aouar appeared to be on the verge of signing with La Liga club Real Betis, but that prospective transfer fell through, opening the door for Forest to make an attempt to recruit the Frenchman.
After making 215 appearances for Lyon, the midfielder has tallied 40 goals and 35 assists in that time.
