Ghana’s first Prime Minister, Dr. Kwame Nkrumah, continues to be celebrated for his visionary leadership and unwavering commitment to the liberation of Africa.
Co-convener of the Alliance for Revolutionary Change (ARC), Dr. Michael Abu Sakara Foster, recently praised Dr. Nkrumah, stating that his words and actions remain relevant in today’s world.
Dr. Sakara highlighted Dr. Nkrumah’s pivotal role in Ghana’s independence and his strong stance against colonialism and Pan-Africanism. He described Dr. Nkrumah as one of the most remarkable statesmen of the 20th century, leading Ghana to become the first sub-Saharan African country to achieve independence.
Speaking on Onua FM Etifi Nsem show, Dr. Sakara emphasized that history has vindicated Dr. Nkrumah, as his warnings about neo-colonialism have proven true. Despite initial doubts, Dr. Nkrumah’s predictions have come to pass, showcasing his foresight and wisdom.
Dr. Sakara also addressed the issue of African self-sufficiency, acknowledging Dr. Nkrumah’s belief in Africa’s ability to manage its own affairs. While some may question this belief, Dr. Sakara argued that Africa has the potential to thrive if it chooses to prioritize development and independence.
As the legacy of Dr. Kwame Nkrumah continues to inspire generations, it is evident that his contributions to Ghana and Africa as a whole remain as relevant today as they were during his time in office.
