Hilaree Nelson was an American ski mountaineer who became the first woman to summit two 8000-meter peaks in one 24-hour push on May 25, 2012. She was born to his parents on December 13, 1972, but sadly passed away on September 26, 2022. She was said to have gone missing on Monday after she and her partner were descending the world’s eighth highest summit.
Her death was confirmed after a search team in Nepal recovered her body on the south face of the 8,163m (26,781ft) peak on Wednesday. On September 30, 2018, Nelson and partner Jim Morrison made the first ski descent of the “Dream Line”, the Lhotse Couloir from the summit.
