In a recent development surrounding the ongoing legal battle between Deborah Seyram Adablah and Ernest Nimako, the High Court has made a significant decision.

Until the final ruling is reached regarding the sexual harassment allegations and other claims brought forth by Adablah (former NSS worker), the car at the center of the dispute will remain in the custody of the court’s registry.

The car in possession of Deborah was to be taken from her, right after court proceedings.

Justice Olivia Obeng Owusu, presiding over the Court (General Jurisdiction), issued the ruling on May 16 ( Tuesday ) in response to an application filed by Nimako.

The court ordered the surrender of the disputed vehicle to the Registrar of the High Court for preservation. Additionally, Nimako, as the defendant, was directed to submit all relevant documents pertaining to the car to the Registrar.

Adablah, a former National Service employee at a branch of First National Bank, filed a lawsuit against Ernest Nimako, the bank’s former Chief Finance Officer.

The allegations include claims of sexual harassment during her tenure and the unlawful retraction of a Honda Civic worth GH¢120,000, which Nimako had purchased for her but subsequently registered under his name in violation of their agreement.

It has been reported that Adablah arrived at the court driving the disputed car. However, in compliance with the court order, she will now be required to hand it over to the registrar.

In addition to the custody order, the court also imposed restrictions on both parties, forbidding them from making any public comments or posting materials on social media and traditional media platforms that could potentially prejudice the case’s outcome.

This ruling came after lawyers representing Nimako requested that Adablah refrains from mentioning him in her continuous TikTok, Instagram, and other social media posts related to the case.
