Amid a series of death threats and attacks at his residence, Justice Alexander Graham, acting Supervising High Court Judge at Bolgatanga, has fled and left his post.

This decision followed the conviction of two individuals for contempt, who attempted to influence the judge.

Since assuming his duties, Justice Graham has received continuous death threats via phone calls and texts from unidentified sources. The threats mainly targeted mining and chieftaincy cases pending at the High Court Two.

A few weeks ago, Justice Graham’s residence was subject to sporadic shooting, and on Tuesday, March 13, 2023, he was attacked by some unknown persons who pelted stones at his residence.

Consequently, Justice Graham left the region for Accra the next day for his safety. Although several cases were scheduled for hearing, his absence left clients and lawyers alike in disappointment.

Apparently, Justice Graham is the Circuit Court judge in Bolgatanga and was among the 10 new judges promoted to the High Court in July 2022, taking over the High Court Two, which had been closed for some time due to the lack of a judge.

Per our findings at Ghanafuo.com, it remains uncertain when he will return to his post. Kindly stay tuned and learn more.
