His family relocated to the USA when he was 11 years old. He worked on several successful projects while with us, but the most outstanding one associated with his name is Dancing With the Stars.

Ramirez passed away at age 78 on January 11, 2023, after a brief battle with esophageal cancer.

In 2000, he split an Emmy with George Clooney for a presentation of Fail Safe, which Clooney produced.

He directed the 2001 Super Bowl halftime performance, which featured Britney Spears, Mary J. Blige, and Aerosmith.

In addition to his Primetime Emmys, he worked as a cameraman for a variety of concerts and shows, including The Beach Boys, Barbra Streisand, Garth Brooks, and Elton John. He was nominated for 74 Emmy Awards for his work.
