Heathrow boss says massive delays caused by passengers with too much makeup

According to the airport’s CEO, passengers who overindulge in liquids while traveling, airlines that don’t hire enough staff, and tourists who pose as disabled are to blame for the chaos at Heathrow.

Vacationers have experienced flight delays, cancellations, and long lines during the first few weeks of summer as airports struggle with baggage handling, air traffic management, and security.

On Tuesday(July 26) morning, Heathrow CEO John Holland-Kaye attributed some of the delays to people traveling with more than they usually would and not checking in all of their makeup before going through security.

In order to bypass lines, some travelers, he continued, interestingly were using social media tricks and pretended to be disabled.

He further explained to the press that the reason every lane is open was because they had hired the same number of security personnel as they did prior to the pandemic.

Due to staff shortages, Heathrow, the busiest airport in the UK, has instructed airlines to reduce their flight schedules as they struggle to meet the sudden increase in demand for international vacations in July.

The airport set a daily cap of 100,000 passengers earlier this month and instructed carriers to stop selling tickets for summer vacations.
