Hearts of Oak management has expressed their disappointment with the team’s performance in the ongoing 2023/2024 Ghana Premier League season. In a recent statement, Hearts of Oak Board Member, Vincent Sowah Odotei, admitted that the results so far have not lived up to expectations.

As the team currently sits in tenth place on the league standings with 35 points, Odotei acknowledged that everyone associated with the club is disappointed with their placement. He also mentioned the early elimination from the Ghana FC Cup as another setback for the team.

Despite having all the necessary infrastructure and resources in place, Hearts of Oak has not been able to achieve the level of success they had hoped for this season. Odotei emphasized that the club had a promising preseason and invested heavily in the team, making the current results even more disappointing.

After a five-game unbeaten run under coach Aboubakar Ouattara, the team experienced a setback with three consecutive losses before bouncing back with a 3-1 victory over Karela United. The upcoming game against Legon Cities in Dawu on Saturday, April 20, will be crucial for Hearts of Oak as they look to improve their position on the league log.
