Hearts of Oak and Heart of Lions are set to clash in the upcoming Gbese Mantse Homowo Peace Charity Cup. This annual friendly match is part of the celebrations of the Homowo festival and brings together two Ghana Premier League teams.
The game is scheduled to take place at the Accra Sports Stadium on Sunday, August 11, 2024. Last year, the match between Hearts and Great Olympics was cancelled, but organizers are determined to ensure the success of this year’s edition.
To kick off the festivities, the Organising Committee of the game will host a press launch on Tuesday, July 23, at the palace of the Gbese Mantse, Ussher Fort, in Accra. Hearts recently faced a loss to Asante Kotoko in the Democracy Cup, adding more anticipation to their upcoming clash with Heart of Lions.
