Hearts of Oak board member Vincent Sowah Odotei has expressed his belief that internal issues within the management teams of two of Ghana’s most successful football clubs, Hearts of Oak and Asante Kotoko, have been detrimental to their progress.

He revealed that confidential information has been leaked to stakeholders, causing chaos within the clubs.

Sowah Odotei pointed out that fans of both clubs have been using this inside information to sabotage the teams, ultimately leading to their current struggles. “I believe we’ve been victims of our own internal issues that has conveyed a sort of chaos to our stakeholders have taken advantage of it and more or less brought Hearts of Oak and Kotoko on their knees,” he stated in an interview with Citi TV.

Both clubs are currently underperforming in the Ghana Premier League, with Hearts of Oak sitting in tenth place and Asante Kotoko in eleventh. Kotoko has suffered six losses in their last seven games, including a recent 2-0 defeat to Dreams FC.

Sowah Odotei acknowledged the disappointment surrounding Hearts of Oak’s on-field performance and called for unity within the club to address the internal issues and regain their competitive edge.
