Vincent Sowah Odotei, a board member of Hearts of Oak, has expressed his belief that the club has all the necessary elements in place to become the most successful club in Ghana.
Odotei specifically pointed to the club’s new training facility at Pobiman and the commercial center as key factors that should contribute to their success.
Despite these positive developments, Hearts of Oak’s performance this season has been underwhelming. After 26 matches, they currently sit in the tenth position with 35 points, trailing 14 points behind the league leaders. Odotei admitted his disappointment with the team’s on-field results, especially considering the investments that have been made.
He stated, “We are disappointed. When you look at Hearts of Oak as a unit, we have everything in place to be the most successful club in the country. Our on-field results are disappointing compared to the investment that we’ve made, so honestly, we are not happy with where we are.”
The team’s recent form has been inconsistent, with a five-game unbeaten run followed by three consecutive losses. However, they managed to secure a 3-1 victory against Karela United on Saturday under the leadership of coach Aboubakar Ouattara.
Looking ahead, Odotei remains optimistic about Hearts of Oak’s future success and is confident that with the right strategies in place, the club can achieve their goals and climb up the league table.
