Hearts of Oak Coach Vows to Fight for Points in Remaining Matches
Hearts of Oak head coach, Aboubakar Ouattara, has made it clear that his team has no option but to go all out in pursuit of points in their remaining matches in the Ghana Premier League.
The coach was left disheartened on Sunday following a 2-0 defeat to arch-rivals Asante Kotoko in a Week 30 clash at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium. The loss has seen Hearts of Oak drop to 15th place on the league table, with just a two-point cushion above the relegation zone.
In a post-match interview, Coach Aboubakar Ouattara acknowledged the pressure his team is under, stressing the urgency of picking up points to avoid a disastrous outcome.
“I am not the one under pressure, it’s the team that’s feeling the heat because we need points to survive,” Coach Aboubakar Ouattara lamented.
Next up for Hearts of Oak is a home game against Nations FC at the Accra Sports Stadium on Friday, May 31. Coach Aboubakar Ouattara has set his sights on claiming all three points to bolster his team’s standing in the league.
With their survival in the top-flight hanging in the balance, Hearts of Oak will be looking to bounce back from their recent setback and secure a vital win in their upcoming fixture.
