Efia Odo became the target of many jokes when she declared herself to be a musician deserving of a feature with Meek Mill, following his request for one African artist with whom he might work.
The controversial American rapper is currently looking for an African musician to include after creating a stir on his most recent visit to Ghana.
Meek Mill asked followers on X (Twitter) to suggest an African musician from Ghana or Nigeria with whom he could collaborate on an album.
Meek wrote: “If I made an album with an African artist who should it be??? Question to Nigeria Ghan? I rap well I could do in 2 weeks with a good producer??? Leave a comment who???”
The responses were expected: Nigerians gave Blaqbones, Zlatan Ibile, Rema, Odumodublvck, etc., while Ghanaians offered Black Sherif, Shatta Wale, Kwesi Arthur, and others.
But among the startling names in the comments was Efia Odo, who professed to be a potential artist. People on social media attacked her because of her “blasphemy.”
One netizen said, “He is talking to musicians, not strippers.”
