According to reports, Manchester United’s attempt to acquire Benjamin Pavard from Bayern Munich was unsuccessful.
Despite the fact that Diogo Dalot has started all three league games this season, United is eager to sign another right-back because Aaron Wan-Bissaka is rumored to be leaving Old Trafford.
Pavard was mentioned as a possible choice by the Red Devils, along with Chelsea, Juventus, and Atletico Madrid.
Man. United’s offer was turned down by Bayern Munich because the Frenchman wanted to stay at the Allianz Arena.
The 26-year-old was valued at £30 million by the Bavarians, but the player convinced the club to keep him, putting an end to United’s interest in the France international.
This season, Pavard has started all three of Bayern’s league games and has scored one, against Eintracht Frankfurt in the Bundesliga.
Pavard has been playing for the German powerhouse since 2019, when he signed from Stuttgart in a £30 million move. Last season, he made 35 appearances for Bayern in all competitions.
The 2018 World Cup champion has appeared in each of Bayern’s three league games so far this season.
