Former American film producer and admitted sex offender Harvey Weinstein. He resides in Los Angeles and was born on March 19, 1952. Together with his brother Bob Weinstein, he established the entertainment company Miramax, which went on to make a number of well-liked independent films, including Sex, Lies, and Videotape (1989), The Crying Game (1992), Pulp Fiction (1994), Heavenly Creatures (1994), Flirting with Disaster (1996), and Shakespeare in Love (1998).
Harvey and Bob Weinstein established Miramax Films in 1979 with the money from their tiny concert promotion business, using the names of their parents Mariam and Max as a starting point.
When Miramax Film Corp. originally started out, it released indie short films by purchasing the rights to them and doing the distribution.
