Jacob Harry Maguire (born 5 March 1993) is an English footballer who plays for the Premier League club Manchester United and the England national team.
Maguire progressed through the Sheffield United development system before breaking into the senior team in 2011. He played 166 professional games for the club and was named Player of the Year three times in a row, as well as being named to the PFA League One Team of the Year three times. He moved to Hull City for £2.5 million in 2014, and the club loaned him to Wigan Athletic in 2015.
He signed for Leicester City in 2017 for a price of £12 million. Two years later, he joined Manchester United for an undisclosed fee of £80 million, a world record for a defender, and was named team captain after six months. Maguire appeared in one under-21 match for England in 2012. In October 2017, he earned his senior debut, and he was named to England’s squads for the 2018 FIFA World Cup and UEFA Euro 2020, earning a spot in the latter’s Team of the Tournament.

Maguire proposed to his long-term partner Fern Hawkins in February 2018 after seven years of dating. The wedding will take place on June 25, 2022, at the Chateau de Varennes in South Burgundy, France.
