Hardship: I knew they will deploy clerics – Aisha Yesufu reacts to ‘end time’ message

Aisha Yesufu, a social critic and human rights activist, claims she knew politicians would use clerics to mislead Nigerians amid the country’s escalating economic hardship and hunger.

Yesufu was responding to a claim made by the senior pastor of Shepherd House Assembly International and cleric in Abuja, Reverend Joshua Talena, that the current world turmoil portends the coming end of times.

Speaking at a Sunday service in Abuja, the cleric emphasized that the Bible predicted widespread chaos, wickedness, hunger, and other evils in the last days.
Congregants were urged not to give up hope by Talena, who also cited insecurity in some parts of the nation as proof that the end was near.

But Yesufu asserted that she was aware that the political leaders would eventually use the clerics.

She declared, “I knew the clerics would be sent out soon! she noted strongly.

“Did the Prophet (SAW) not tell us that one of the signs of the last days will be that everyone will be so wealthy that it will become difficult to find someone to give Zakkah to?”
