Nollywood actress Debbie Shokoya has expressed her displeasure over the nation’s escalating economic hardship.

She bemoaned the fact that even the wealthy were complaining about how hard the economic crisis was hitting them.

In particular, she lamented the rapidly rising cost of rice. The actress, who appeared to be thinking about leaving Nigeria, asked her followers to recommend a place for her to relocate.

“Every day it is getting clearer,” she wrote on her Instagram page. She quoted saying she is just tired of everything, as in the cost of items and has no idea why the drastic and sudden transgressions occurred.

“Even the wealthy have grievances. Well, I wonder what would happen in a situation like this.

“Oh no, it is not funny anymore! 90k ke was sold for a bag of rice. Which nation can I move to, please?” She prefers to relocate but is also worried about the particular country to move to. She was so surprised that the rice products, both in cost and price, were amazing, leading to a greater risk of going to the village instead.
