The hairdresser who made fun of former Big Brother Naija contestant Josephine Otabor, also referred to as Phyna has issued a formal apology.
Phyna filed a case against the vendor earlier on Wednesday, alleging that she publicly humiliated her.
A few hours later, after it was rumored that she was in police custody, Phyna published a video and a printed statement apologizing on her Instagram page in an attempt to win her freedom.
The hair vendor introduced herself in the video by saying, “My name is Dammy.” It was me, the woman, who pointed out Phena’s rental wig.
“I want to sincerely apologize to her for overreacting in this way,” she said, quoting. I truly regret it; it wasn’t my aim to harm her reputation.”
She also said she was sorry for making the reality star feel uncomfortable while working on the project.
However, Phyna was criticized on social media in December 2023 by a vendor named DBeauty Mogul for allegedly neglecting to return a wig that she had rented after the allotted time.
Phyna responded to the accusation on her Instagram page by identifying her influence chasers and denying ever knowing the vendor.
