Guinness World Records (GWR) contender, Seidu Rafiwu, has made history by completing the longest walk-a-thon.

Rafiwu covered a distance of 383 km on foot, starting from Techiman and finishing at the Independence Square in Osu, Accra.

After 96 hours of continuous walking through the Bono Region, Ashanti Region, and Eastern Region, Rafiwu reached his destination to the cheers and congratulations of onlookers.

His record-breaking journey came to an end on Tuesday, April 30, marking a significant achievement in his life.

There were earlier reports circulating that Rafiwu had collapsed during the record attempt, but he swiftly dispelled the rumors.

He clarified that the video circulating on social media showing him receiving medical attention was part of his scheduled recovery session. The medical team was simply ensuring that Rafiwu’s muscles were taken care of and any discomfort was alleviated.

Rafiwu’s remarkable feat surpasses the previous record set by America’s Jesse Casteneda in 1976.

Casteneda walked a distance of 228.930 kilometers in Albuquerque, New Mexico, USA, setting the benchmark for long-distance walking marathons.

Seidu Rafiwu’s determination and resilience have earned him a place in the history books, showcasing the power of the human spirit and the ability to push boundaries.

Congratulations to Seidu Rafiwu for his exceptional achievement and for inspiring others to reach for their own goals.
