Graham McTavish

Graham McTavish is a Scottish author and actor who was born on January 4, 1961. He is well-known for his performances as Dwalin in the Hobbit movie trilogy, and Vlad the Dracula in the Castlevania series on Netflix.

He starred as William Munny, the Saint of Killers in the Preacher series on AMC, and Dougal MacKenzie in the Outlander series on Starz.

The seasoned actor who has lived in many places around the globe currently resides in New Zealand.

In 1986’s Return to Treasure Island, McTavish played his first professional role. He then appeared in the 1988 ITV film Freedom Fighter (also known as Wall of Tyranny), which starred Tony Danza as a man who assisted East Berlin residents in crossing the Berlin Wall.

He co-starred as Rengal in 1996 and as Merlin in 1998 in the fantasy-adventure series Highlander, which was about an immortal hero tasked with battling evil.

The Scottsman made a brief appearance in the 2000 ITV miniseries The Stretch, a two-part crime thriller that starred crime leader Terry Green and his wife Sam.

He had an appearance in an episode of the mystery television series Rosemary & Thyme the following year.

He then played Captain James Stagg in the BBC’s made-for-TV movie D-Day, 6 June 1944.

McTavish also starred in Murphy’s Law, a crime drama on the BBC that focused on an undercover police officer in London, in its second season in 2004.
