Contractors will receive GH¢150 million from the government to fix potholes throughout Ghana.
This investment, which is a portion of the Ministry of Finance’s first quarter payouts, is intended to mitigate the damages brought on by heavy rains in 2023.
The government’s plan, according to a February 15 statement from the Ministry of Roads and Highways, is to make it easier for the Department of Urban Roads and the Ghana Highways Authority to perform necessary pothole repairs during the dry season.
The main roadways impacted by the unfavorable weather conditions of the previous year are the focus of these repairs.
The Ministry urged people to support initiatives aimed at improving the country’s road network, emphasizing the value of public collaboration in this endeavor.
