“Government can’t disgrace me” – Cheddar responds to GRA tax evasion allegation

In response to rumours that he has been charged by the Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA) for tax evasion, Nana Kwame Bediako has responded.

A reliable source at the GRA claims that Cheddar failed to file personal income tax forms from 2013 to 2016, for which he was fined GH¢50,000.00. This news follows the government’s cancellation of Cheddar’s Pan-African event, The Convention, a few weeks prior.

In the wake of the uproar, he introduced himself as the face of The New Force and announced his intention to run for president in the nation’s 2024 general elections.

In response to the allegation of tax evasion, Nana Kwame Bediako refuted the reports. “This morning, my picture was in the newspapers stating that I don’t pay taxes. “I have been employed in this nation for nearly 22 or 23 years, and I have paid and continue to pay taxes,” he declared.

“I have brought over 1500 containers of materials into this country for my real estate projects, and the taxes are a lot, but we have paid all,” he stated.

“I will assert that this face cannot be shamed if the government attempts to bring me low by publishing my picture in the media. The New Force commander underlined, “Even if I owe you, let’s talk so that I pay you; it’s not about embarrassing me.”

In a video he uploaded to social media, Cheddar asked the Ghana Revenue Authority to invite him to an event if there were any issues with his tax payments, and he said he would gladly accept the invitation.
