Prof. Gopi Chand Narang, an eminent Urdu scholar and former president of the Sahitya Akademi, passed on in the States on Wednesday (June 15). Apparently, at the time of his death, the 91-year-old was living in Charlotte, North Carolina, with his son Dr. Tarun Narang.
