Glen Edward Daywas brought into the world in Portable, Alabama, and brought up in Poplarville, Mississippi, by his mom Jeanne Bass Day. Jeanne was bereaved at 28 years old when Glen was around 2 years old.

Glen Edward Day has one sister, Danielle. Glen Day was the primary golf player to win an expert competition utilizing the Nike Golf Ball by overcoming Payne Stewart to win the 1999 MCI Exemplary played at the Ocean Pines Manor Harbor Town Golf Connections, Hilton Travel, South Carolina.
It was his 154th PGA Visit start and his main PGA Visit win. A T-8 in the Mercedes Championship marked the first of two top-10 finishes in the 2000 season. In 2001, he came in fourth in the MasterCard Pilgrim and tied for sixth in the AT&T Rock Ocean side Public Supportive of Am.
Glen Edward Day played on both the PGA Tour and the Nationwide Tour when he was in his forties. He later joined the PGA Visit Champions in the wake of turning 50.
