Giving offertory less than GHC50 is unacceptable, says Prophet Kumchacha

Prophet Kumchacha, the founder of Heaven’s Gate Ministries, has expressed his support for evangelist Bishop Obinim’s decision to refuse 5 and 10 cedi notes as church offerings.

In an interview with Hitz FM, Kumchacha echoed Obinim’s stance, emphasizing the importance of larger offerings in light of rising costs and the perceived disrespect of smaller denominations.

Bishop Obinim made waves with a viral video instructing his congregation to give no less than 20 cedis during services, deeming smaller amounts disrespectful to God.

Kumchacha’s agreement with Obinim’s position sheds light on the importance some religious leaders place on the value and significance of offerings given in church services. This development reflects a broader conversation within religious communities about the appropriate amount and manner of giving to honor one’s faith and show respect to the divine.
