Bloomway Industries, the creators and makers of Deedew Spices, has urged the government to waive import duties for manufacturing firms operating in the agriculture sector.

The corporation said that this would enable them to import cutting-edge machinery to increase output for export and bring in more money for the nation.

After the company’s brand ambassador unveiled certain products, William Acheampomg, the resource optimization manager, spoke with the Daily Graphic and claimed that would also help create more jobs to improve the local economy.

Five types of Deedew spices were unveiled by actress Nana Ama McBrown, the brand ambassador for the spice company. These varieties were created for commercial food businesses, including restaurants, street food vendors, diners, and homes.

They come in two packets of seven and thirty grams each and include stew, jollof, curry, noodles, and all-purpose seasoning.

After the items were announced, the brand ambassador went on a tour of the company’s manufacturing facility with journalists and bloggers to observe firsthand the steps involved in making the spices that were released onto the Ghanaian market in August 2023.

According to Mr. Acheampomg, farmers form the foundation of the economy.

He claimed that in order to provide them with natural components for the creation of the spices, the company hired farmers from the Central, Volta, and Northern regions.

He continued by saying that the business was considering joining markets like Ivory Coast and Nigeria. He urged the government to encourage the growth of manufacturing companies in the area.

The ambassador, for her part, stated, “What I eat is what I sell to Ghanaians,” and she suggested the product to the Ghanaian market.
