Giorgio Napolitano was an Italian politician who served as the president of Italy from 2006 to 2015, the first to be re-elected to the office.
He is the son of Carolina Bobbio and Giovanni Napolitano. He was born to his parents on June 29, 1925, in Naples, Italy but sadly passed away on September 22, 2023, in Rome, Italy, at the age of 98.

As previously stated, the Italian Former President is no more since he was reported dead on September 22, 2023, aged 98.
According to the information gathered, shortly after the late Napolitano’s 98th birthday on 29 June, he was hospitalized in Rome.
After a few months of being hospitalized, he was reported on September 19, that he was in critical condition with his health deteriorating, and was taken off life support. He died three days later.
Talking about his funeral arrangements, it has not been disclosed by his family, hence, it is very difficult to talk about it. Having said that, the former president who served for close to a decade will be given a state funeral, the premier’s office at Palazzo Chigi said on Saturday.
He was a married man who had been married for more than six decades to Clio Maria Bittoni. Together with his widow, they have two sons; Giulio Napolitano and Giovanni Napolitano.
