Gino Mäder was a Swiss road and track cyclist who last rode for UCI WorldTeam Team Bahrain Victorious. He died as a result of an accident during the 2023 Tour de Suisse.
Mäder was born on January 4, 1997, in Flawil, Switzerland. He began cycling at a young age and quickly showed promise. He won the Swiss junior time trial championship in 2015 and the under-23 time trial championship in 2018.
Mäder turned professional in 2019 with Team Qhubeka NextHash. He quickly established himself as one of the best young riders in the world. He won a stage of the Tour de l’Avenir in 2019 and finished second overall. He also won the Swiss national time trial championship in 2020.

Mäder was killed in a crash on the descent towards La Punt, the finish line of stage 5 at Tour de Suisse on June 16, 2023. He was 26 years old.
