The 26-year-old Gino Mäder was a Swiss road and track cyclist, who last rode for UCI WorldTeam Team Bahrain Victorious. Mäder died as a result of an accident during the 2023 Tour de Suisse.

The Swiss cyclist Gino Mäder dies from injuries suffered in a crash during Tour de Suisse. He died Friday, one day after crashing and falling down a ravine during a descent at the Tour de Suisse, the Bahrain-Victorious team said.
During the fifth stage of the Tour de Suisse on 15 June 2023, Mäder fell in a turn when descending from the stage’s highest point at Albula Pass. The American cyclist Magnus Sheffield had fallen at almost the same spot a few minutes earlier.
Mäder was found to be unconscious and submerged in water. He was resuscitated and was airlifted to a Hospital in Chur. Mäder died from his injuries a day later.
