Ghislaine Noelle Marion Maxwell was born on December 25, 1961, in Maisons-Laffitte, France.
She was the ninth and youngest child of Elisabeth Meynard and Robert Maxwell,
Her mother was a French-born academic, while her father was a Czechoslovak-born British media mogul.
Ghislaine Maxwell started her education at Oxford High School for Girls in North Oxford.
She later enrolled in the Somerset boarding school Edgarley Hall at the age of nine, before moving on to Headington Girls’ School at the age of thirteen.
Ghislaine Maxwell studied “modern history with languages” at Marlborough College before graduating from Balliol College, Oxford, in 1985. She had been employed by her father, Robert Maxwell, until his death in 1991.
She eventually relocated to the United States and became good friends with Epstein.
