Concerns have been raised by locals in Gheskia, in the Ablekuma Central Constituency of the Greater Accra area, regarding the condition of a bridge that leads to their homes.
They claim that the bridge has to be fixed since it has turned into a death trap.
Speaking only to the photojournalists at Adomonline.com, they pleaded with the appropriate authorities to either fix the bridge or remove it immediately so they wouldn’t have to risk their lives utilizing it.
According to a local, the bridge served as the entryway to the Christ Temple of the International Central Gospel Church (ICGC) before they migrated to Teshie.
Residents use the bridge every day to transport their wards to and from the Agbogboloshie market and the school, which is now located on the premises.
Although the bridge has been in a condition of disrepair for about three years, the people bemoaned its use, since it is the most convenient and shortest method to go around.
