Ghana’s Sports Minister proposes three interventions to combat climate change

The Minister of Sports in Ghana has put forth three key interventions to address the pressing issue of climate change in the country.

The three proposals, aimed at combating the adverse effects of climate change, include promoting the use of renewable energy sources, implementing green initiatives in sports facilities, and raising awareness about environmental conservation among athletes and sports enthusiasts.

The first intervention suggests prioritizing the use of renewable energy sources such as solar and wind power in sports facilities across the country. By harnessing clean energy, Ghana can significantly reduce its carbon footprint and decrease its reliance on fossil fuels, which contribute to greenhouse gas emissions and global warming.

In addition to switching to renewable energy, the Minister also proposes implementing green initiatives in sports facilities, including sustainable waste management practices and water conservation measures. By adopting environmentally friendly practices, sports facilities can minimize their impact on the environment and contribute to a more sustainable future for Ghana.
