In an impressive display of determination and skill, Felicity Asantewaa, a young Ghanaian lady, has secured a spot in the prestigious Guinness World Records.
Felicity achieved this remarkable feat by surpassing the previous record holder and washing an impressive 60 cars in just eight hours.
The Guinness World Record (GWR) officially recognized Felicity’s achievement, confirming her as the new record holder for the most cars washed in eight hours by an individual. This incredible accomplishment took place at the East Legon Go Go wash premises in Accra on March 9, 2024.
Felicity’s passion for cars and her desire to empower young women in Ghana motivated her to attempt this record. She stated, “I love cars and I also know a lot of car brands. So, when I thought of empowering young women and promoting Ghana, I chose what I love to do to have an impact in the young women’s world.”
She further added, “I have observed that the car washing job has been dominated by males in Ghana. However, I believe females can equally do this work perfectly.” Felicity’s record-breaking achievement not only highlights her individual talent but also serves as a beacon of inspiration for young women in Ghana.
