“J.H. Mensah” was one of the most vociferous voices in Ghana during the military dictatorship era that pushed the military at the time into a democracy. He will always be remembered. May his soul RIP 🙏

Watching GTV and listening to MPs, eulogising J H Mensah, mention that we should get memoirs of such great people in print.
I am laughing. When books are published and you invite them to launches, they don’t even attend!

I have learnt with sadness, the death of Hon. J. H. Mensah, a former Member of Parliament and Minister of State.
He is a founding member of the NPP, an astute economist/politician and a stalwart of the Danquah-Busia-Dombo tradition.
May his soul rest in perfect peace. pic.twitter.com/k2xZHKxAKm

For me, J.H. Mensah was a mentor. In my humble opinion he is probably the best economist Ghana has produced. Analytically amazing in the way he dissected issues and practical in his policy prescriptions. He was the author of President Kwame Nkrumah’s seven year development plan.
