Ghanaian music lovers are clearly not enthused about the low reception given to their artistes at the just ended ‘Menzgold, Zylofon Media Naija Invasion Concert’ held in Nigeria on Friday night (August 24).
The event which took place at the Eko Convention Centre, Victoria Iceland, Lagos saw great performances from top Ghanaian and Nigerian artistes.
Afro-Dancehall musician Stonebwoy, Dancehall artiste Shatta Wale, Afrobeat musician Becca, Gospel songstress Joyce Blessing, Highlife star Kumi Guitar, singer King Promise and rapper Obibini represented Ghana while 2Face Idibia, Phyno, M.I Abaga, Olamide, Tekno, Patorankingand others represented Nigeria.
But, something happened on the night.
Ghanaian artistes had a very low reception during their performances as compared to the Nigerians.
The only Ghanaian artiste who pulled a little crowd was Shatta Wale when he brought Nigerian star Burna Boy to the stage.
But overall, the reception given to the Ghanaian artistes was very low and this triggered most Ghanaian music lovers.
They took to social media to express their disappointment in Nigerians, referring them to how they treat their artistes when they are in Ghana.
Here are a few social media comments we spotted;
They hv made their mind not to cheer any Ghanaian artist..😞😞 pic.twitter.com/mzDNKSTb1w

I have stayed in Nigeria over 12 years and I won’t lie to you they don’t respect or Acknowledge our Artists.
Someone once asked if Ghana had a Music industry?
I come to Ghana and what I see is 💥
Love for their artists.
It’s quite annoying sometimes when I see these things— 👑👑Arthurock👑👑 (@Arthurockgh) August 25, 2018
We are too accepting and I feel it sometimes go against us. In Ghana we have accommodated lots of them and made them feel at home.
When you go to Nigeria and see the Ghanaians there you will see how the Nigerians treat them in the most uncomfortable ways. It’s so bad 😣😣😣— 👑👑Arthurock👑👑 (@Arthurockgh) August 25, 2018
But Ghanaians know almost all your artistes even the ones that have not collaborated with Ghanaian artistes. Maybe it was a deliberate effort not to vibe with the Ghanaian artistes on stage. 1/2

They’ve not made their mind not to cheer us. We’ve not made an impact there as we think. Our acts are lying to us that they are Global.
