Dutch-born Ghanaian forward Kevin Luckassen was the star of the show as UTA Arad secured a convincing 3-1 win over Otelul Galati in the Romanian Superliga. Luckassen not only found the back of the net himself but also provided an assist to help his team emerge victorious.

The match saw UTA Arad solidify their head-to-head record against Otelul Galati, with one win, one loss, and one draw between the two sides. Luckassen made a significant impact after coming on as a substitute in the 46th minute, replacing Joao Pedro at the Arena Francisc Neuman.

Despite Otelul Galati enjoying more possession, it was UTA Arad who were more clinical in front of goal, creating more shots on target. Luckassen’s playmaking skills were on full display in the 62nd minute when he set up Johana Omondi for a well-taken goal.

Luckassen then added his name to the scoresheet in the 78th minute, doubling UTA Arad’s lead with a precise finish from inside the box. Rares Pop further extended the lead in the 81st minute with a remarkable strike, despite slipping in the box.

Although Juri Cisotti managed to pull one back for Galati in stoppage time, UTA Arad held on for a deserved 3-1 victory. With this performance, Luckassen has now scored five goals and provided two assists in 22 appearances in the Romanian top flight this season. Fans will be hoping for more of the same from the talented Dutch-Ghanaian striker as the season progresses.
